Materials: 316 Stainless steel, bronze, LED lighting
This sculpture for the Kangaroo Island Sculpture Trail celebrates the resilience of nature and the Kangaroo Island Community through the metaphor of an opening seed pod, allowing in light and promoting renewal and growth. Resilience is reflected in the expressed open centre, with the heart of the community being held between two halves, allowing the flow of energy and life. There is a strength in the two halves coming together, holding a sensing of space and connection in which resilience can continue to grow.
